anyone have a source? sounds too good to be true
No source anymore it was right after df shut down. He didn't write it but he was interviewed by a major mmo website
I heard that Darwin renounced evolution on his deathbed!
He made an appearance at DEFCON25. I made a thread in the off topic section:
Yeah doesn't really work like that unfortunately.
Normal players provide supply into the economy but they also provide demand. China farmers (gold sellers), generally do low value, repetitive activities activities that are easy to multi-box and provide a lot of supply into the economy without actually driving demand in game.
It also removes a lot of time that a particular player would spend on gathering low value items and gives them time to spend on higher value activities.
The net effect is that anyone who would want to do those low value activities is forced out of the game whilst the gold buyer increases inflationary pressures in the in game economy.
Anyone who truly believes that gold selling has no real effect on the in game economy seriously hasn't thought about it.
Most the china farmers I know spent their time farming high end mobs for high value. The china farmers in DF1 use to farm the devil a lot, the china farmers in RoA spent loads of time on cairn farming high end mobs there.
Man i thought u meant this defqon, was about to fking see doc get fucked out of his mind and go hard, very disappointed.
I remember being in a leaders meeting one time and Sethdrone was in channel. I had to get up and go feed my daughter and when I got back the meeting was over. I stayed in channel and then suddenly Sethdrone, Whiskey, and the leader of Insideous started trading contact information on "their guy" that they bought stuff from. Then Littledrone chimed in about how they planned on spending $12,000 when they get their tax returns back and how they just made a $1500 purchase in preparation for an upcoming siege. Funny thing was they were talking about digging into their kids' college funds. That was when I chimed in with "you guys need to get a life." To which Sethdrone became really quiet(as if no one knew that he bought gold) and Littledrone raged out that I shouldn't be in the channel.
Doc's spreadsheets cracked me up.. There was NO limit to quantity... Just price per... LMFAO
I'm pretty sure Sendog know's who he is.
Sinister Maps was like a direct payment method to Doc.
When he emailed me his stock, he'd included multiples for rare items like guest room furniture etc.
Sky was the limit on stuff like runestones though lol
