In the preliminary patch notes you mentioned a notification system to inform players of goings on. Will you put this on there for those that don't frequent the forums or website?

Can you guys give a bit more info on the Character Perk System you have in mind? Like what kinds of perks and if theres going to be perks for melee/archery that is basically like the warrior type specs, would there be a hard lock on spells like destro did? Figure maybe trade off is probably good enough to justify hard locking out ppl that chooses melee/archery perks from what spell users would get. Unless maybe all perks that replace the spec system is going to be more minicule and not as much of a difference in damage as a destro would get.

is there a way we can see what everyone else has voted?

im dumping my 30 votes into one thing and i assume others are doing likewise with all their alt accounts so it would be nice to know what ones are coming first or even stand a chance

This is precisely why we are not letting others see the votes. Why worry about what others think? Vote for what you want, don't be influenced.
Think of this system as a way for us to see what on our roadmap interests you. If only one thing interests you then sure, put them all in one thing, but if you are interested in many things then please spread them around.

its not that only one thing interests me so much as one thing i think is super important and should be focused first. hopefully my little votes can stack it in favor of getting it done then i get my votes back and can spread them out a little more.

and ill say it because i dont care if anyone knows FACTIONS. IMO this needs to be done asap to reintroduce "race wars" to the game. I was only on board with the removal of race wars because opt in factions were supposed to be implemented. I realize there was griefing due to race wars but it was offset by the extreme amount of content that it brought to the game.

The fine details are not complete and we'll open discussions on the topic as it comes closer to fruition, but a gist would look something like this.
Imagine removing all specializations and all skill modifications (like speed/jump/etc).
What we are left with is what I would consider the "baseline" for characters in RoA.
Now we take any specialization and break it down into smaller pieces and use these pieces for the perk system. Of course, we'll be adding/changing/removing as needed to create the most diversity possible, so don't limit the thought to only the existing specializations.
Each of these "pieces" will have both benefits and drawbacks. Some perks will have the same or similar benefits/drawbacks, so stacking will be possible.

After village changes think siege hammers will have no real use, should make sure it applies to strong boxes atleast and maybe housing/holding. Probably a bit more damage per swing.

Will old unused runes be able to be placed into rune books?

No new content. Where is the new dungeon? New raid zone? New dragon patrolling wolf lands?

    New spells?

Islands you have to fly to? Needing high end flying ships hardly ever used.

Why the same Darkfall with, albeit good qol changes, for TEN YEARS!

Better monster scaling, runebooks and more village pvp with better rewards are at least three things to do now, aka content

The Market one is pretty useful as well. I love the idea of buying gear bags.

Pve has value, easier to travel (though i still find portal hub better than these portal books idea), and ANYONE can now attend villages without any preparation.

    I'd definitely say it's content.

I wanted to put in more time playing before I commented on the current state of the game. However I must say I am sad there is less non pvp related stuff on the road map than I had hoped to see. At least for future content. Even I don't have much ideas for it but we do need more content for non pvpers.

As a guy who is a crafter in every game I ever play our crafting system is a horrible joke... even with all the resource changes and such being a crafter is a serious money drain. So that's not a route any non pvper wants to walk. Most games you can at least make a profit at some point with each profession. Darkfall that's not really possible yet and most never make back what they spent raise the skills :( Noobs who try end up regretting it and quit once they figure it out.

PvE is interesting in this game but we lack the Dungeon/Raids with various mechanics/methods to keep them interesting that most MMOs have. We are well on our way already with champion mobs, spawn scaling and the new runebooks which improve world travel so much but we need more in the pipeline at least.

Open World Events that auto spawn / announce via timer/schedule? Ice Dragons spawn on certain areas on the coastline sometimes, Fire Dragons in mountain/desert areas etc. Maybe try to create the roaming mob spawns av failed to create or a special variant patrolling certain roads or camping a main crossroad. Making sure people knew about them and special quests/notifications regarding them would be good.

Or try other approaches like a 15% chance a fire dragon spawns on a player city after successful siege defense. Or max scaled spawn pops outside the main entrance to a npc capital with a call for help. Non PvP Things happening around the world that are not set in stone and vary would be a welcome change.

One last thing I want to mention is the gold sink when scribing may need adjustment imo which I understand why it's there but that is a massive gold wall for newer players... Specially concerning self buffs and buff others which are critical. Most stats and skill grind are not beyond terrible thanks to various things but there is way too much gold sink for decent buffs. Specially when you consider the amount of papyrus/essence that needs to be gathered as well.

I played this game 24/7 for the first 3 months. I was one of the first players to hit 100 smelting. I mainly gathered, crafted, farmed mobs, traded and played solo, it was fun for me. I LOVED the grind and the feeling of accomplishment in achieving a high crafting skill that very few have attained. Which is why I have put a majority of my points from my 3 accounts into "ARTISAN". This in theory would give me something new to strive for.
I took a break shortly after global trade chat got introduced. I recently came back because I wanted to check out all of the new patches you guys have introduced since then. A lot of good work has been put in during that time and I want to commend you guys. One of the things I have noticed since I returned is that there is a noticeable decline in Trade Chat activity. This is why I have dumped my remaining points into "MARKET".
The NPC cities are less populated and new players that buy this game might feel as if the population of the server is much smaller than it actually is when you combine few people in NPC cities and a lack of Trade Chat activity. If there was an *Eye Catching* marketplace in every Capital city. ONLY accessible at Capital Cities. This would rejuvenate the market and restore life again to the Capital Cities (mostly alts but its a start). People would once again be trying to farm whatever they noticed was the most profitable venture based on market trends. New players would also immediately have goals to work toward as far as what equipment they would like to attain and how to most efficiently use their time to make gold, level up skills, and eventually acquire items from the marketplace.
And while it can be argued that there will most likely be less trade chat activity because of this I think it would have an inverse affect if you factor in there being a marketplace fee associated with the market place which I think is absolutely essential to increase Trade Chat activity. I fully respect everyone's opinion on what they want to choose for the changes as I know I am in the minority of solo crafters. I also love "MOB ARMOR RECIPES" and "NAMED MONSTERS" as these also go well with the above two I mentioned. Also I just wanted to say. I can't remember ever being a part of a game where developers introduced such an in depth Voting System with so many tangible goals for the community to give their input on how the development team should most efficiently use their time to improving the game based on the communities biggest concerns. These guys really care about the game and I just wanted to say thank you *Dev Team" for that.
